I think that universally, people forget that the Catholic Church was not established ONLY to serve the less privileged. In other words, the Catholic Church is not build for earth, not for us to “feel good about ourselves.” The Church exists mainly for HEAVEN. She reminds us of our final destination, the place where we are made for under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. And before we get there, the Church is where we could communicate with Christ in a very real way, especially through the Holy Eucharist. We Catholics don’t want to push people away, we want more people to share the Truth and Beauty through the One, Holy, Apostolic Church.
